Job Description:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for Crane, Redemption, Game Supply, and Payment teams to ensure alignment with company financial and operational goals.
- Translate executive-level objectives into structured annual plans, quarterly initiatives, and operational priorities.
- Oversee execution of key projects, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and accountability are met across all teams.
- Lead team performance management, including goal-setting, performance reviews, and professional development.
- Oversee staffing strategy, workload planning, and resource allocation to support operational efficiency and growth.
- Lead procurement operations for Crane machine prizes, Redemption room prizes, Promotion items, and Game Supply, including product selection, vendor negotiation, pricing, and lifecycle management.
- Direct payout strategy and margin optimization to balance guest satisfaction with profitability.
- Oversee inventory controls, store-level implementation, and compliance with secured product handling standards.
- Ensure all procurement, inventory, and operational processes comply with internal controls, audit standards, and corporate policies.
- Provide executive-level oversight of store compliance, audit responses, and corrective action planning
- Manage all payment processes for items purchased by the
- Amusement Department, ensuring accurate and timely processing through the Payment Team, including approval flows, documentation, and compliance with corporate policies.
- Lead the annual fiscal budgeting process for Crane, Redemption, and Game Supply, including revenue, COGS, payouts, freight, and operating expenses.
- Develop and manage quarterly forecasts, variance analysis, and reforecasts based on performance trends and business conditions.
- Calculate and oversee total COGS, incorporating product costs, freight, currency fluctuations, tariffs, duties, and vendor pricing changes.
- Partner with Finance to assess the financial impact of external factors such as tariffs, supply chain disruptions, and cost inflation.
- Produce and present high-level executive reports covering performance, margin trends, risk exposure, and strategic recommendations.
- Establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor Crane, Redemption, and Game Supply profitability, efficiency, and inventory health.
- Ensure standardized SOPs are created, documented, and maintained to support system usage, inventory controls, and operational consistency.
- Serve as a senior liaison between Crane & Redemption, Game Supply, Payment, Finance, Logistics, Operations, and Support teams.
- Ensure forecasting, procurement data, order planning, and budget assumptions are accurate and aligned cross-functionally.
- Identify systemic inefficiencies and lead initiatives to improve cost structure, operational execution, and scalability.
- Support senior leadership with data-driven insights to guide long-term strategy and capital planning.
- Partner with the IT team to define requirements and oversee development of an in-house system supporting inventory management, forecasting, and reporting.
- Maintain and lead high-level vendor relationships, including negotiations, pricing structures, and long-term sourcing strategy for Crane machine prizes, Redemption room prizes, Promotion items, and Game Supply.
- Manage communications and negotiations in professional-level Japanese and English.
- Ensure vendor accountability on cost, quality, timelines, and contractual obligations.
- Monitor industry and market trends relevant to Crane, Redemption, and Game Supply merchandise to inform sourcing and pricing strategy.
Job Requirements:
- Management experience in procurement, operations, or merchandising, including leadership at a senior management level.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, COGS analysis, and executive reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling, and large data analysis).
- Proven experience managing managers and teams, including performance management and organizational development.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
- Fluent in Japanese and English (verbal and written) with experience conducting professional negotiations.
- Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally with Finance and senior leadership.
- Solid understanding of corporate compliance, internal controls, and audit processes.
- Experience in the amusement, retail, or entertainment industries.
- Strong background in inventory management systems, vendor management platforms, and cost control processes.
- Experience managing financial exposure related to tariffs, freight, currency, and global sourcing.
- Proven ability to present complex financial and operational data to executive audiences.
- Advanced Excel and MS Office skills for analysis, reporting, and presentations.
