Overview
A communications company is seeking a highly motivated and bilingual Sales Assistant (English/Japanese) to join their office. This is a key role that involves coordinating internal projects, managing timelines, and contributing to tasks across departments. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and flexible, with the ability to wear multiple hats in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage, and execute internal and client-facing projects from initiation to completion.
- Coordinate with team members and external stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery
- Maintain project documentation, status reports, and schedules
- Collaborate closely with a small team (~10 employees) and provide assistance in general office tasks when needed
- Facilitate bilingual communication (English/Japanese) across departments and with Japanese-speaking clients or partners
- Identify and resolve potential project issues and risks in a timely manner.
- Other duties as required
Requirements
- Bilingual fluency in English and Japanese (spoken and written) is required
- Proven experience in project management or similar coordination roles
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in a small team and assist with varied tasks as needed
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or project management tools
- Experience in telecommunications or a related industry is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Project Management, or related field
- Prior experience in a bilingual (English/Japanese) work environment
- Familiarity with Japanese business culture and practices
- Experience using tools such as Kintone, Evernote, Slack, and Microsoft Office is a plus
