Pay Range: To start $4,500 / month

Duties and Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Regularly interact with customers to provide information about product availability, quality, and prices, by visiting, calling, texting or emailing during the day or evening
- Notify customers for order shortage, no availability, quality issue, price change or substitutes.
- Display or demonstrates product, using flyers, samples or catalog, and emphasizes sellable features
- Respond to customers’ complaints and resolve customer concerns
- Perform emergency delivery to customer when there is no other delivery source available
Prospecting New Business
- Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources
- Prospect for new customers and guide new customers through the credit application process
- Provide new customer orientation to train them how to do business with the company and the company’s strong points (Food Safety/HACCP, high quality and reliability, etc.)
- Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from sales activity
- Participate in company’s marketing exhibitions and events by attending trade shows, producing promotional flyers, social media postings, etc.
Internal Operation
- Participate in morning processing and check quantity and quality for customers as needed
- Prepare daily action plans and schedules to identify specific target items, project the number of contacts to be made and submit daily sales reports
- Regularly interact with purchasing, delivery, production, and customer service personnel to exchange information about customer’s needs, product pricing and other sales management issues
- Participate in inventory activities as required
- Perform daily HACCP & sanitation related tasks as required
- Submit expense reimbursement request monthly
- Maintain company vehicle if applicable
Accounts Receivable
- Monitor customer payments (including short or skipped payments) and ensures that customers’ payments and credit are in good standing. Visit customers for collection as needed
- Facilitate customer returns and ensure customer satisfaction with replacement product by handling the return promptly and reviewing the updated shipment for quality
- Ensure that invoice statements are always sent with current order invoices
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School diploma preferred or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Experience in giving presentations, providing customer service or other sales activities
- Valid driver license and clean driving record.
- Fluent in English.
- Other language skills such as Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, or Korean bi-lingual highly preferred
- Knowledge of restaurant business and the products used by restaurants prefered.
- Knowledge of operational personnel, processes, and schedules
- Knowledge of delivery routes and restaurant locations.
- Skill in operating company vehicles and computers and related devices.
- Skill in discerning seafood species and their qualities.
- Ability to communicate well and with different company departments.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain a courteous demeanor always towards customers, co-workers and supervisors.
Work Environment
Work irregular shifts if needed
Subject to outdoor weather conditions and refrigerated process areas, slippery floors.
Physical Effort
Moderate physical activity required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently (May vary by location)
