A hospitality company in South Bay, CA is looking for a Payroll Specialist (Temp 6-8 months).
Position: Payroll Specialist – Temp (6-8 months)
Pay Range: $21-24/H
Job Type: Permanent
Work Hours: Monday – Friday 9:30AM-6:00PM
Location: CA – South Bay
Job Descriptions:
- Payroll Specialist candidate with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, who know how to effectively problem solve and possess a solid knowledge of Multi State Payroll Labor Laws.
- Handle payroll record updates by keeping changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, Garnishment, and job title and department/division transfers
- Preparing relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports for circulation to department heads
- Handle payroll discrepancies through information collection and analysis
- Establish payroll liabilities after calculating all employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments
- Other duties as required
Requirements:
- Possess some college coursework particularly in accounting
- Two or more years of experience in processing payroll
- Multistate Payroll processing
- Experience with ADP workforce now
- Restaurant Tip Reporting knowledge
