Job Description
Essential Duties:
- Responsible to maintain and update employee personnel records.
- Reviews and verifies payroll hours on time cards
- Administers new hire and termination packets for all employees.
- Facilitates new employee orientation.
- Responsible for managing employee attendance records, including PTO accruals and requests.
- Prepares and updates employee performance evaluations.
- Maintains employee warnings, performance coaching/counseling forms.
- Assists with employee complaints
- Ensures Company’s safety compliances with all states’ regulations and OSHA requirements.
- Files and mails out the documentations of the legal activities that relate to Human Resources
- Coordinates enrollment/termination of employees to 401(k) program for Company
- Coordinates Company’s healthcare benefits including enrollments for new employees, corresponding with insurance company and coordinating with insurance broker.
- Assists in handling all insurance claims as necessary
- Ensures Company’s Safety Policies and make sure the policy is complying with governmental requirements.
- Plans and coordinates company meetings and/or training events as needed.
- Reviews and updates ACA file and Insurance files
- Reviews all benefit related invoices and creates a payment request.
Non-Essential Duties:
- Creates and maintains HR reports (new hires, terminations, EEO-1, rosters, labor reports)
- Prepares HR-related correspondence on behalf of HR Director/CFO.
- Seeks constant improvement or more efficient and less expensive ways and means in department work processes.
- Researches and develops resources that create timely and efficient workflow.
- Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by executive management.
- Follows up to complete any assigned work.
- Maintains high ethical standards in the work place.
- Reports all irregular issues and problems to executive management for solution.
- Maintains good communication with executive management, office staff members and outside contacts.
- Complies and maintains confidentiality of all company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.
Requirements
Education/Experience:
- College degree preferred, but not required. Minimum of three to five years related Human Resources experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- English and foreign language such as Spanish and Japanese might be necessary but not required.
