An entertainment company in Orange County, CA is looking for a Finance Assistant Manager.

Pay: $75K-$85K/Y

Job Descriptions:
- Monitors and managers day-to-day financial operations (Invoice payment, Cash collections and other transactions)
- Reviews and approves journals
- Reviews and processes payments for the company
- Performs and reviews balance sheet reconciliations
- Monitors and analyzes accounting data and produces monthly/quarterly financial reports and statements
- Prepares and analyzes the monthly and the quarterly management reporting
- Analyzes budget versus actual revenues and expenses
- Maintains cash flow by reviewing banking activity and reconciling monthly reports
- Prepares quarterly reporting package submitted to Japan
- Coordinates and works with other departments, outsourced accounting firm and CPA auditor for data / documents required to complete monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing.
- Communicates financial institutes for maintaining banking procedures and lease contracts and for financing
- Prepares documents for CPA audit and SOX
- Liaises with CPA to file income tax, sales tax, and other local tax returns
- Ensures compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
- Proposes, plans, and implements continual process improvements
- Maintains an accurate filing and records keeping system for all financial statements and company documents
- Participates in the execution of changes to procedures, policies, and systems to facilitate expansion, compliance, and scaling of the business
- Maintains ERP system
- Manages and leads finance clerks
- Trains the team for skill-up, shares the knowledge, and accumulates the know-how
- Supports Finance Director and CFO for annual budgeting
- Liaises with Japanese HQ
- Reports to Finance Manager, Finance Director and CFO on timely basis
- Other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Mandatory: 5+ years’ experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the retail or hospitality industries, College degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field, Tax returns (Federal and/or State), Supervisory or managerial roles
- Optional; CPA, Reporting package to parent company
- Working knowledge of GAAP principles
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Impeccable attention to detail
- High level of integrity, thoroughness, flexibility, and initiative
- Understanding of overall corporate accounting & FP&A
